Description

*Important Notes: This camp is different from other Mad Science Robotics program. We do not build with Lego Robotics kits, but instead use some of the most innovative educational robotics kits to teach robot basics, circuity, programming, and much more in an age-appropriate and fun way!
Our Robotics teaching edge comes from 12 years of facilitating this topic and a professional R & D team that stays up to date on this ever changing topic. Continue reading to learn why our Robotics Camp stands a part from all else!

Join Mad Science for a week of discovery and fun in this five-day Robotics Camp! Investigate robotic fundamentals with curious robots, learn about the history and current field of robotics, explore robot design potential by using robots that have big personalities, and build ingenious robots to take home. Compare, analyze, and test a variety of robots everyday that are correlated to the daily concepts. We will explore circuits, electricity, sensors, gears, and advanced robotic applications. Learn about the mechanical aspects of robots with gears, gear ratios, and torque. Pick up the basics of electricity by snapping together circuits to make a remote control rover robot. Experiment with sound sensing robots, line-tracking robots, industrial robots, app-controlled performance bots, robotic pets, the worlds smartest and smallest robot, and so much more! Our future roboticist's round out the week getting more in depth experience programming robots as they cycle through programming stations that will enrich their understanding of programming. We welcome all children to become the creative camper's that will design tomorrow’s robots today!

Additional Information

Robot Recruit Camp: Advanced Robotics
Day 5: Programming is introduced through a fun, active game that keep your mind and body moving. “Programming the Human Bot” cards & circuits are laid out by the Mad Scientist and campers work their way through a large scale programming obstacle course.
Robot Recruit Camp: Circuit Science
Day 2: From simple circuits to super switches, we will explore the exciting world of circuity. Get hands-on with an electronic discovery system that features printed circuit board blocks that snap together in different combinations and more!
Robot Recruit Camp: Ready for Robots!
Day 1: Get your introduction to real life robotics by getting hands-on using interactive applications that allow you to explore real world robot design. Experiment with automatons, remote control devices, and programmable robots and more!
Robot Recruit Camp: Robots 101
Day 3: We invite you to join us to learn more in depth applications of robotic technology by getting to DO robotics! Learn how DC motors work, gear trains & ratios, and transfer of motion with hands-on discoveries using cool science tools and gadgets.
Robot Recruit Camp: Use Your Common Sensors
Day 3: Start out the day learning why robots need sensors to interact with the world. Use the world's smallest programmable robot to learn a color coding language and control its behavior on paper and and tablets. And More!
