Birthday Parties
I purchased a Mad Science Birthday Party at a St James school auction - a January birthday boy never gets a party! I upgraded the Standard Party to include the Van De Graff static electricity globe. I was concerned how 12 year old boys were going to react to a "science" party. I was pleasantly surprised by their continued interest, asking questions, eagerly participating. My son even thought wearing the lab coat was cool! Echo and Dr. Moonrocker were engaging and entertaining. A shocking good time was had by all!

Birthday Parties
I hired Mad Science for my son's 7th birthday party. I submitted the reservation request online and Taryn was most responsive, professional and friendly! Our Mad Scientist, (some dinasaur name) Rex, arrived to a party mostly consisting of rambunctious boys and had them under his wing in no time. The birthday boy in his own lab coat was smitten. Almost every experiment was hands-on and the kids were super involved. What a fun afternoon!

Taryn, aka "Lightening Lucy" put on a great show at Portland City Hall! All of the children in the audience were so engrossed and delighted watching the magic of science and taking part in the experiments. Taryn was so engaging and the program was awesome! Can't wait to see the next one!

Mischievous Magnets Workshop, 4th Grade Classroom

We were thrilled with the enthusiasm of the presenter. This was beyond engaging. It was hard to contain the students because of their excitement. It was wonderful having so many hands on materials for the children to experiment with. It was hard for them to move on to the next topic because they were having so much fun, while learning. We have already recommended this to the lower grades in our school, and we have informally told our teacher friends in other districts about this wonderful program.

Mad Science is a Blast! The Mad Scientist who visited our Library whipped up a lab in no time, and before we knew it we had lightning bolts sizzling, strange chemicals turning colors, even great big jets of fire and more! It was some amazing science, and our Mad Scientist was equally as amazing with a large crowd of children, picking volunteer scientists to help with experiments and putting on a show that kept everyone riveted! If you have a chance to watch Mad Science, we highly recommend it!
