My 8 year old daughter participated in the February break program. She is shy little girl with some special needs. The experience she had with Mad about Science camp was fabulous!! Thank you! She was comfortable, engaged and loved every minute of it. Even not feeling her best due to a cold, she couldnot wait to go each day. Thank you!!
My 10 year old son had his Mad Science birthday party today and it was AWESOME! The kids enjoyed all of the activities. Our Mad Scientist, Scott, made sure to involve all of the children. He was truly engaged with all the children and has the best personality. We even added on the cotton candy machine and aside from the slime making, that was a great hit! My husband and I even loved the cotton candy:) I highly recommend Mad Science of Maine for an amazing birthday party experience. There are activities for everyone of all ages.
Our mad scientist, Scott, educated and entertained us all, kids (ages 4 to 11) and parents alike, for a full hour, especially the birthday boy (age 8). Everyone loved making the slime, even the grown-ups, and the favorites were the glowing pickle and the flash cotton. After the party, one of the grown-ups told us that this was the best one of these (kid's birthday parties) that she had ever attended. Another asked, "Where did you find out about these guys?" And more than one child said that they wanted a mad scientist for their next birthday too. A nice memory for our son. Well done.
We hired Mad Science to perform their "Radical Reactions" show and their "Fire & Ice" show at the Topsham Fair. We were so pleased to see the bleachers packed and the grassy areas filled with sitting spectators. Both children and adults were memorized by the mad science shows. Between the bubbling beakers and smoking cauldrons- everyone wanted to see what happened next. Combining education with fun, Taryn has a knack for keeping a crowd's attention. No new stage show has ever raised so many compliments and in 2013 we're hiring Mad Science of Maine back for 3 great shows at the Topsham Fair during the week of August 6-11.
I purchased a Mad Science Birthday Party at a St James school auction - a January birthday boy never gets a party! I upgraded the Standard Party to include the Van De Graff static electricity globe. I was concerned how 12 year old boys were going to react to a "science" party. I was pleasantly surprised by their continued interest, asking questions, eagerly participating. My son even thought wearing the lab coat was cool! Echo and Dr. Moonrocker were engaging and entertaining. A shocking good time was had by all!
