Our Mission

The Mission of Mad Science of Maine is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children through fun, hands-on science programs that instill a clear understanding of what science is really about and how it affects the world around us.

Mad Science makes learning fun! Children will learn how to explore, question and test their theories. Through unique experiments and dazzling demonstrations, we empower young scientists to be active and engaged in their elarning process

Code of Ethics

Mad Science is dedicated to enriching the lives of children through meaningful and educational scientific exploration. Instructors who facilitate the Mad Science experience are ethically and morally obligated to ensure that the Mad Science experience is positive and enriching.

Above all else, every Instructor will ensure the well-being of the children. Instructors will maintain an environment free of practices that are disrespectful, dangerous, exploitative, intimidating, psychologically or physically harmful to children.

• We carry both liability and workers compensation insurance
• Instructors are thoroughly trained before entering the classroom.  Our Program Trainer is a Certified Teacher and an expert at training teachers in inquiry based learning and classroom management techniques. 
• All instructors recieve a Background check
